History

For the 2012-2013 school year, we plan to use the following as our core for History & Geography:

A History of US
This series of books covers American History.  My plan is to do 1/2 this year, and 1/2 the following year.  I want to allow enough time to really delve into the parts of American History that my boys find interesting. This will be the "spine" of our history studies for the year, with additional books and resources pulled out as needed.

Time Travelers History Unit Studies
 These unit studies look like so much fun!  As we go through our American History studies in 2012-2013, I want to include these as a supplemental chance to really delve in and make history fun.  I am starting with the first two (New World Explorers and Colonial Life), and if they are a hit, I will continue to purchase them as we move through our study of America.
